A Prayer in the Face of Hurricane Ian

Dear Lord, in this time of trial we seek your presence among us. Be with all those whose lives will be impacted by this storm. We pray especially for those on the West Coast that will take the brunt of the storm, and for those who are already struggling whose lives will be made even more difficult by this storm. We pray that you might calm our fears and grant us the peace that passes all understanding. We know that in you alone we will find true strength and courage. Help us to remember that in the end, all will be well. Strengthen us to be a source of love and comfort in the days, weeks, and months ahead. We thank you for the good earth which you have given to us. Help us to be good stewards of this gift and to love and care for one another out of the blessings we have received. All this we ask in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.

“The mission of St. Augustine of Canterbury parish is to grow closer to Christ and one another through worship, prayer, learning and service, and to dedicate our lives to serving Christ in the world through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Service is at the heart of the St. Augustine's parish community. Our Outreach ministry supports both local and global non profit organizations answering the call to help end hunger, homelessness and poverty. Recently St. Augustine parishioners answered the challenge of packing of 10,000 meals for Rise Against Hunger.
