Planting flowers and greenery in the barren areas of the church grounds has been an ongoing ministry since approximately 2003. When plans for renovating the church were underway, a landscape committee was formed. Memorial plants were moved to safe locations. After the renovation was complete, small gardens were planted – giving special attention to the Memorial Garden and so the landscape committee evolved into the Garden Angels.
The group varies in size from two to a dozen volunteers. They have successfully completed several large projects, but a garden is never finished. This enthusiastic group is always eagerly planning a new garden spot.
The Garden Angels meet every Monday morning from 9:00 to 12:00. New angels are welcome and no experience is necessary. For more information call Mary Strahosky 772-770-3277.
